Intro to Airtable and Database Thinking for Art Historians will offer strategies for designing and/or adapting a database to effectively collect, manage, and analyze your research data using Airtable. We’ll also discuss how Airtable fits in with other platforms you’ll use at various points in your career, including Tropy, Scrivener, Google Sheets, Box, and more. The workshop will cover topics such as: 

  • Overview of Airtable components and features relevant to various art history approaches
  • Ways of assessing and modeling your current research projects so you can create a corresponding database structure
  • How to adapt and grow your Airtable database as your project evolves
  • How Airtable and databases work with other platforms and apps in your practice, including LUNA and other VRC resources
