Notetaking and PDF Platforms: OneNote

OneNote is a Microsoft app that acts like an online notebook with sections for note-taking and the ability to insert media and files. OneNote data is stored online, and can sync across multiple devices and opened in the desktop app. OneNote is free through your UChicago account.

Note that data stored in OneNote is not easily exported from the app.

OneNote will be most useful for those looking to brainstorm, compare multiple types of files with annotations, and to take research notes. For storing official files and associated metadata, please consult the recommended platforms for managing your personal image archive.
